Alicia Ramirez is the founder and CEO of TN News, the overarching organization that publishes TN News. She is also the publisher of TN News.

She is a Los Angeles-based journalist with experience in both print and digital formats. Most recently, she was a faculty fellow at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism where she worked with student journalists covering the USC and greater South Los Angeles communities. Prior to that, she was a web producer for CBS Los Angeles, a designer for the Chicago Tribune and its suburban newspapers, and news editor for a trio of weekly newspapers in South Central Texas. She has a passion for telling stories that resonate with audiences and help them connect more deeply with their communities. Ramirez holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Science in Journalism with a concentration in Media Solutions and Innovation from West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media. Alicia Ramirez is the chair of the board and CEO of TN News, the overarching organization that publishes TN News.

Christina Bellantoni is the treasurer of the Board of Directors and CFO of TN News. Bellantoni is a professor of professional practice, the director of USC Annenberg’s Media Center and the Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy faculty fellow. She also is a contributing editor with the independent nonprofit newsroom The 19th News, which focuses on gender, politics and policy.

Over her more than 20 years in journalism, Bellantoni has worked as a reporter and editor, behind the camera as a producer and in front as an analyst on national television. She has covered local, state and federal government, along with four presidential campaigns and the White House. At the Los Angeles Times, she was an assistant managing editor focused on politics. Under her leadership, the California politics team expanded and earned statewide recognition for innovative coverage of politics and for hard-hitting sexual harassment investigations that prompted two Assembly resignations and brought more transparency to California’s state capital. She frequently appears on television and radio, including NPR, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher.

Gabriel Kahn is the secretary of the Board of Directors. Kahn jointly runs the Media, Economics and Entrepreneurship program at USC Annenberg and serves on the research council of the Annenberg Innovation Lab.
He has worked as a newspaper correspondent and editor for three decades, including 10 years at The Wall Street Journal, where he served as Los Angeles bureau chief, deputy Hong Kong bureau chief and deputy Southern Europe bureau chief, based in Rome. He has reported from more than a dozen countries on three continents. His work has appeared in Slate, Mother Jones, Salon, The New York Times Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, Pacific Standard, The National Law Journal, The American Prospect, and other publications. He has been a guest on the BBC World Service, CNN, CNBC, C-Span, as well as on numerous international news programs.
